Chora Church is considered to be one of the most beautiful
examples of a Byzantine church. The church is situated in the
western, Edirnekapi district of Istanbul. In the 16th century, the
church was converted into a mosque by the Ottoman rulers, and it
became a secularized museum in 1948. The interior of the building is
covered with fine mosaics and frescoes. |

Suleymaniye Mosque |
| |
You will start the day with the visit of the Mosque & The Social
Complex of "Suleyman the Magnificent" (16. cent. A.D.), one of the
masterpieces of the architect Sinan. |

City Walls |
| |
Afterwards drive along the City Walls of Constantinopolis to the
district of Edirnekapi. The 5th-century city walls built by Emperor
Theodosius II stretch for 6.5 km (4 miles) from the Golden Horn to
the Sea of Marmara. You can admire them at many points in Istanbul,
but it's easiest to combine a view of the walls with a visit to the
Chora Church. |

Edirnekapi is also the place where the Chora Church (13. cent.
A.D.), famous for its well-preserved wall-mosaics showing scenes
from the Old New Testament, will be visited. |

Continue to Eyup, the 3 most important Pilgrimage-place on earth
for the Islamic World. Afterwards possibility for a cup of coffee

The Egyptian Bazaar is famous for selling the best spices in
Istanbul. you will find an immense selection of spices like saffron,
oregano, mint, cinnamon, henna for the hair, special Turkish spices
for meat, different kind of pepper. There are typical Turkish sweets
such as "baklava", "lokum" and different types of tea like
chamomile, island tea, apple tea, black tea... |

Rustem Pasa Mosque |

It is constructed to Mimar Sinan on 1561 by one of the
viziers of Kanuni, Rustem Pasa. As the place at Eminonu is both
hollow and a commercial center, Sinan, had opened inns and shops
under mosque. |
